SwapXRP AML and Transaction Review Policy
SwapXRP applies risk-based checks to the crypto exchanges it handles. Creating an exchange without a permanent trading account does not prevent a transaction from being reviewed or make every payment eligible for processing.
This policy explains when an exchange may need additional information, the possible outcomes and how to contact the compliance team.

Risk-Based Review of Exchange Activity
We assess the payment information available for an exchange, including the assets, networks, wallet addresses, transaction history and circumstances of the request. The level of review depends on the risks identified rather than a single rule that treats every transfer identically.
Checks can occur before a payment is accepted, while it is being assessed or before the receiving transfer is released. A review can pause ordinary processing while information is checked.
A blockchain transaction visible in an explorer does not by itself establish the legitimate owner of the funds, the economic purpose of a payment or its eligibility for conversion. Equally, an automated alert does not by itself prove misconduct; information may need further assessment.
When Additional Information May Be Needed
We may request evidence to establish who is conducting the exchange, how the funds were obtained or why a particular transaction is being made. The request should relate to the issue being reviewed.
Depending on the circumstances, relevant information can include:
- Evidence of control over a sending or receiving account.
- Source-of-funds information and supporting transaction records.
- An explanation of the purpose or relationship behind a payment.
- Identity information or documents where verification is required.
- Details needed to resolve inconsistent recipient or payment information.
Send requested information only through a channel confirmed by the compliance team. A wallet recovery phrase, private key or signing password is never an acceptable identity or source-of-funds document.
Incomplete, inconsistent or unverifiable information can prevent the review from being completed. We may ask a follow-up question instead of treating a document submission as automatic approval.
Restricted Activity and Destinations
Do not use SwapXRP to move stolen assets, launder funds, finance terrorism, evade sanctions, commit fraud or facilitate other prohibited activity. Requests involving restricted persons, destinations or transactions may be refused or restricted where applicable.
We also consider attempts to conceal the true purpose of a payment or evade a review by splitting activity, changing recipients or submitting misleading evidence. A series of smaller transfers does not remove the need to establish a lawful and acceptable transaction.
We may decline a request when the risk cannot be resolved through the available checks. Technical ability to send an asset is not an assurance that every proposed conversion will be accepted.
Possible Outcomes for an Exchange
A review may allow the exchange to continue, require more information or lead to the request being declined. Funds can remain on hold while a necessary review or applicable restriction is unresolved.
Where an exchange has not been executed, a return may be considered in the original asset on the original supported network. It depends on the payment being identified, a compatible return destination being verified, technical access and the restrictions applying to that case.
We confirm the destination, any required tag and the applicable costs before arranging a return. We do not assume that the hot-wallet address which sent a withdrawal can receive a customer return, and we do not promise recovery of payments to unsupported networks or unrelated addresses.
A conversion that has already been executed cannot be made unexecuted by an AML request. Any further movement requires a separately authorised and technically possible transaction.
Information Handling and Cooperation
Review information is used to assess the exchange, resolve identified concerns, support security and meet applicable obligations. Access should be limited to the people and service providers who need the information for those purposes.
We may preserve relevant records and respond to valid requests from competent authorities where required by applicable law. Requests for deletion do not automatically override records needed for an ongoing review or an applicable retention obligation.
The privacy policy explains the categories of information processed and how privacy requests are handled. General transfer and market-information limits are described in the service disclaimer.
Contact the Compliance Team
Email [email protected] with the exchange reference and the reason for your enquiry. Do not attach unrelated identity documents to an initial message unless they have been requested through a verified process.
For ordinary quote or delivery questions, use exchange support. A compliance review can take longer than the first-response target for routine support because its outcome depends on the evidence and checks required.
